Stove (1) with a combustion chamber for burning a fuel, wherein the stove has an airflow duct for facilitating an airflow through the stove, which airflow duct comprises an inlet (4) for combustion air and an outlet (3) for flue gases, wherein an airflow controller for actively controlling the airflow is provided in the airflow duct, which airflow controller is controllable to at least two intensity positions in order to optimize an excess of air during burning of the fuel, wherein the outlet for flue gases is further provided with a mechanical one-way valve (25).
