Abstract (en)
An object of the present invention is to provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner in which airflow volume made to permeate through an adsorption member can be ensured without relying on airflow volume passing through an outdoor heat exchanger. In an outdoor unit (30), air that does not pass through an outdoor heat exchanger (33) flows in from an intake opening (46b). As a result, when frost has begun to form on the outdoor heat exchanger (33), an air whose quantity is equivalent to the airflow volume reduced by an increase in ventilation resistance of the outdoor heat exchanger (33) is guided in from the intake opening (46b), and adsorption airflow volume increases, the opposite of what occurs in "the prior art in which adsorption airflow volume decreases when frost forms."
