Bei einer Handwerkzeugmaschine (10) mit einer Antriebseinheit (20) zum Antrieb eines Einsatzwerkzeugs (42) in mindestens einem nicht-schlagenden Betriebsmodus, wobei mittels einer elektronischen Drehmomentbegrenzungseinheit (70) eine Mehrzahl von Drehmomentstufen der Antriebseinheit (20) in dem mindestens einen nicht-schlagenden Betriebsmodus einstellbar ist, ist eine Kommunikationsschnittstelle (100) vorgesehen, die zur Kommunikation mit einer von einem Benutzer betätigbaren Benutzerführungseinheit (60) vorgesehen ist und dazu ausgebildet ist, von der Benutzerführungseinheit (60) Umschaltanweisungen (72) zum anwendungsspezifischen Einstellen einer Drehmomentstufe mittels der elektronischen Drehmomentbegrenzungseinheit (70) zu empfangen, wobei der Benutzerführungseinheit (60) zumindest ein mechanisches Bedienelement (62, 64) zum manuellen Einstellen einer Drehmomentstufe über die Kommunikationsschnittstelle (100) zugeordnet ist.
