[origin: WO2016110621A1] The invention relates to a press tool (12) for shaping a stamping piece, in particular of the bodywork of a motor vehicle, comprising: a die (16) having a receiving surface (20') for the stamping piece intended to engage with a main presser (32); and a slide (26) having a punch (36) able to deform an edge (6) of the stamping piece (2) against the receiving surface (20') of the die; the slide (26) comprising an auxiliary presser (38) able to press a distal portion of the edge (6) of the stamping piece (2) against the receiving surface (20') before deforming said edge (6). The invention also relates to a method implemented by such a tool (12), the method comprising pressing, by means of the auxiliary presser (38), of the edge (6) of the stamping piece (2) before and/or during deformation thereof.
