[origin: WO2016110375A1] A system for providing a flat structure, such as a wall or a ceiling, comprises at least one first profile unit (1) which has a planar element (3), and one second profile unit (2) for detachably connecting to the first profile unit (1) along a connection direction (V), and a securing element (7, 7', 7'') which has a wall piece (8) and at least one clamping piece (9). The first profile unit (1) forms a profile frame (6) for the planar element (3), assembled from a plurality of profile elements (4; 5, 5'). The profile frame (6) has at least one connector structure (57) for detachably connecting to the second profile unit (2). The securing element (7, 7', 7'') is operatively connected to the profile frame (6) in a detachable manner, such that a displacement of the planar element (3) in the profile frame (6) is prevented, wherein the wall piece (8) is at least partially in contact, in particular in surface contact, with substantially only one lateral surface (33) of the planar element (3).
