[origin: WO2016110360A1] The invention relates to a contact arrangement for pluggable surge arresters, wherein at least one overvoltage protection element is located in a housing, the housing base of which is penetrated by at least two contact tab ends bent in a U or V shape, furthermore an electrical connection is formed between the contact tabs and the at least one overvoltage protection element within the housing, the contact tabs are configured as planar punched and bent parts, the housing has a rectangular cross section with two opposing narrow sides, and the planar punched and bent parts extend at least partially in the respective plane formed by the housing narrow side. According to the invention, at least one of the contact tabs is provided with a portion which is matched essentially to the width of the housing narrow side or corresponds substantially thereto, wherein this portion has a notch, which for reinforcement is bent into the region of the respective contact tab end.
