[origin: WO2017194636A1] The invention shows a high-power resistor (1, 100) having a housing (10), having a sheet resistor (2) which is arranged in the housing (10) and is provided on an electrically insulating carrier substrate (14), and having a potting compound (11) in the housing (10), wherein the housing (10) is filled with the potting compound (11). In order to ensure a high operational reliability for said resistor despite electrical protection, it is proposed that the high-power resistor (1) has, in the housing (10), both a fireproof cover (12) and a fuse (4) with a fuse wire (5) which is electrically connected in series with the sheet resistor (2), and that the fireproof cover (12) provided between the fuse wire (5) and the housing (10) is provided on the fuse wire (5) projecting into the potting compound (11).

Es wird ein Hochleistungswiderstand (1, 100) mit einem Gehäuse (10), mit einem im Gehäuse (10) angeordneten Schichtwiderstand (2) und mit einer Vergussmasse (11) im Gehäuse (10) gezeigt. Um für diesen eine hohe Betriebssicherheit trotz elektrischer Absicherung zu gewährleisten, wird vorgeschlagen, dass der Hochleistungswiderstand (1, 100) im Gehäuse (10) sowohl eine feuerfeste Abdeckung (12) als auch eine Schmelzsicherung (4) mit einem Sicherungsdraht (5) aufweist, der mit dem Schichtwiderstand (2) elektrisch in Serie geschaltet ist, und dass die feuerfeste Abdeckung (12) auf dem in die Vergussmasse (11) ragenden Sicherungsdraht (5) vorgesehen ist.
