[origin: WO2016113339A1] A motor vehicle door with a door lock, a door handle system, which is positioned in the region of a door recess and interacts with the door lock to open the motor vehicle door, the door handle system comprising a door handle which is movably mounted between a rest position, in which it is flush with a door exterior, and a functional position, in which it projects outward over the door exterior, the door handle system being associated with a parallel kinematics unit, is known. According to the invention, the parallel kinematics unit is designed as pivoting kinematics which define for the door handle a pivoting axis that extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and that is interspaced from the door handle in the vertical direction of the vehicle. The invention also relates to the use thereof for passenger vehicles.
