[origin: WO2016116097A1] The invention relates to a heavyweight torpedo for dropping into a body of water outside of a visibility range of a target, comprising a parachute, a parachute/torpedo connection, and a parachute-releasing element, wherein the parachute-releasing element has a two-stage design and the first stage is initiated by activation of the parachute and the forces of the parachute on the heavyweight torpedo and the second stage is put into an activation mode by the initiation of the first stage and the second stage comprises detachment of the parachute.
