[origin: WO2016116270A1] The invention relates to a method for managing a plurality of subscriptions on a security element of a mobile terminal for logging into a particular mobile radio network and to such a security element. On the security element, which is designed to hold at least one of the plurality of subscription profiles and to be operated therewith, a root container is implemented. The method comprises the following steps: checking if a subscription profile of the plurality of subscription profiles that is to be or has already been introduced into the security element satisfies global management rules, which are stored in the root container; and introducing the subscription profile to be introduced into the security element or activating the subscription profile already introduced into the security element if the subscription profile that is to be or has already been introduced into the security element satisfies the global management rules, which are stored in the root container.
