Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to an electrical connector assembly i and a method to assemble the same, wherein the electrical connector assembly, comprises a connector housing 10, comprising a locking means 16, 17 and having at least one opening 12. The electrical connector assembly further comprises a cover 30, being hinged to the connector housing 10 to allow a repeated covering and uncovering of the opening 12 of the connector housing 10, and a cover locking device 50 that is adapted to be mounted onto the cover 30 to be movable relative to the cover 30, wherein the cover locking device 50 comprises a corresponding locking means 56, 57 for engaging with the locking means 16, 17 of the connector housing 10, thereby fixing the cover 30 to the connector housing 10, so that the cover 30 covers the opening 12 of the connector housing 10.
