[origin: WO2016119869A1] A crankshaft (1) for hermetically sealed reciprocating compressors (2), which have a cylinder block (3) with a main bearing (4) for supporting the crankshaft (1) and a casing (5) having a lower section (6) for collecting lubricant (7), comprises a vertically extending shaft (8) which includes an integral bearing section (9) that is adapted for being journalled into the main bearing (4). Said shaft (8) includes an integral lower tip section (10) that is adapted for being directly immersed into the lubricant (7) inside the lower section (6) and two axially upwardly diverging lubricant channels (11, 12) that are formed within the shaft (8) and adapted for conveying the lubricant (7) from the lower tip section (10) towards the surface of the bearing section (9) upon rotation of the shaft (8).
