[origin: CA3025684A1] The invention relates to a system for removably attaching an ornament (200) to the flexible surface of a leather article in an evenly, accurately and rapidly aligned manner. According to the invention, the system comprises: a male portion (300) composed of a rigid bar (301) that has decorative perforations (302) and an attachment surface (303) supporting: - N attachment buttons (304), N being an integer equal to or greater than 1, each button being provided with a stem (304a) and an expanded free end (304b) that is wider than the stem (304a); and - at least one lug (305) that translationally blocks the ornament; a female portion which has the same number of button holes (100) as the male portion has buttons; in the operational state, each button hole (100) is designed to be permanently secured to the flexible surface and releasably retain the expanded end of a button; in the operational state, the at least one blocking lug (305) engages an orifice (201) in the ornament.
