[origin: CA2972117A1] The invention relates to a plug connector (1) for plug connector modules and for installation in plug connector housings or for screwing to wall surfaces. The holding frame (1) is composed of two opposite sides (8) in which there are provided recesses (11) for receiving the plug connector modules. The holding frame (1) is composed of four interconnected parts. A first side part (4) and a second, opposite side part (5) form the sides (8) of the holding frame (1). A first head part (2) and a second head part (3) are provided on the ends of the side parts (4, 5). The side parts (4, 5) are connected to one another via the head parts (2, 3). Furthermore, the head parts (2, 3) have fastening ends (9) by way of which the holding frame (1) can be fastened in a plug connector housing or to a wall surface.
