Abstract (en)

[origin: CA3040315A1] The invention relates to a composite pallet for the transport and long-term storage of drums (32). Said composite pallet comprises a bottom element (1) of plastic, which has a bottom element top side (2), a bottom element bottom side, and bottom element support elevations (3) protruding from the bottom element top side (2). The composite pallet also comprises a deck element (4) of plastic, which has a deck element top side (5), on which a deck for supporting the drums (32) is formed. The deck element (4) also has a deck element bottom side and deck element support elevations (6) protruding from the deck element bottom side. The deck element support elevations lie on the bottom element support elevations (3) and/or are connected thereto, whereby the deck element (4) is supported against the bottom element (1) and the deck element bottom side is spaced apart from the bottom element top side (2). The composite pallet also comprises at least one placement region (7) for holding a standing drum (32). A plurality of support inserts (9) made of a material having a creep modulus which, over a specified time period, is higher than the creep modulus of the plastic and the decrease of which creep modulus over the specified time period is less than that of the plastic, is inserted into support element holders (10) formed on the deck element bottom side and on the bottom element top side (2). The support inserts (9) are frictionally and/or interlockingly connected to the support element holders (10), wherein the support inserts (9) are arranged in support regions that lie at least partially under the at least placement region (7).
