[origin: WO2017211496A1] The invention relates to a method and to a device for pre-treating a textile to be printed, wherein the textile is wetted with a a treatment composition, at least in one printing region, in which at least one printing ink is applied, by means of which the threads of the textile are sealed. For this purpose, the treatment composition is first dried on the textile and the dried treatment composition is activated before printing, wherein at least the printing region provided with the treatment fluid is compressed under supply of heat.
