[origin: WO2016128149A1] The invention relates to a casting system for casting liquid metal, in particular steel, into a cast strand. The casting system comprises a mold for producing a cast strand from the supplied metal melt and a strand guide for moving the cast strand into a horizontal position. The strand guide has at least one input roller segment arranged after the mold in the casting direction and, further thereafter, an output roller segment. In order to be able to produce and maintain the strand guide more simply and more economically, the input roller segment and the output roller segment of the strand guide, according to the invention, are structurally identical.
