Abstract (en)
There is described a glue application unit (1) for a labeling apparatus (2) comprising a glue roller (5) having an outer lateral surface (6); a glue feeding device (7) for feeding melted glue to the glue roller (5); and a glue distribution bar assembly (8) arranged having a glue feeding channel (22) and an outlet section (24) adapted to selectively transfer the glue from the glue feeding channel (22) to the glue roller (5). The glue distribution bar assembly (8) comprises a glue distribution bar (25), carrying the outlet section (24) and comprising a fixing block (40) spaced apart from glue roller 5; a moveable glue distribution group (41) carrying the outlet section (24); alignment means (42) adapted to align the glue distribution group (41) with respect to the outer lateral surface (6); and a glue feeding portion (43) adapted to establish a fluid connection between the outlet section (24) and the glue feeding channel (22).
