Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Fadenklemmvorrichtung (14) für eine Spindel (2) einer Spinn- oder Zwirnmaschine, mit einem am Spindeloberteil (3) stationär angeordneten ersten Klemmelement (15), einem relativ zum ersten Klemmelement (15) axial verschiebbar gelagerten zweiten Klemmelement (18) und einer Belastungseinrichtung, die das zweite Klemmelement (18) federkraftbedingt in Richtung des ersten Klemmelementes (15) beaufschlagt sowie einer Entlastungseinrichtung, die fliehkraftbedingt das zweite Klemmelement (18) beabstandet zum ersten Klemmelement (15) positioniert. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Fadenklemmvorrichtung (14) über eine am Spindeloberteil (3) stationär angeordnete Unterwindehülse (16) verfügt, die mit Führungseinrichtungen (22) ausgestattet ist, die in Verbindung mit zugehörigen Führungsansätzen (23) an einem beweglich gelagerten zweiten Klemmelement (18) eine mechanische Arretiereinrichtung für das zweite Klemmelement (18) bilden.
