[origin: WO2016131882A1] The aim of the invention is a simple and inexpensive installation of production systems (1000) for book-like identification documents (200). This is achieved by forming the production systems from a first system part (2000), which is made of at least one document card device group (2100) for producing individualized document cards (100), and a second system part (3000), which is made of at least one assembly device group (3100) for joining together a set of book pages (230) of the identification document (200) with a corresponding individualized document card (100), thereby producing the identification document (200). Each of the at least one document card device group (2100) is made of at least one containerized document card manufacturing unit (2500), and each of the at least one assembly device group (3100) is made of at least one containerized assembly manufacturing unit (3500). In order to erect the production system (1000) according to the invention, the following method is used: (a) producing at least one containerized document card manufacturing unit (2500) and at least one containerized assembly manufacturing unit (3500) at a production location; (b) transporting the at least one containerized document card manufacturing unit (2500) and the at least one containerized assembly manufacturing unit (2500) to an installation location; and (c) combining and assembling the at least one containerized document card manufacturing unit (2500), thereby forming the first system part (2000), and the at least one containerized assembly manufacturing unit (3500), thereby forming the second system part (3000), at the installation location.
