Abstract (en)
Processes for the electrochemical production of hydrogen peroxide and reactors are described. A process comprises: producing H + cations at an anode, producing HO 2 - anions at a cathode, transporting said H + cations through a cation exchange membrane into a compartment, transporting said HO 2 - anions through an anion exchange membrane into said compartment, wherein hydrogen peroxide is formed in said compartment, and withdrawing a hydrogen peroxide solution through an outlet from said compartment, wherein said compartment comprises a solid ion-conductive material.
