[origin: EP3262961A1] A disposable surgical mask (1; 10) comprising: - a fabric comprising one or more superimposed layers of a breathable material (2), the layers comprising a top end (3), a bottom end (4) and two side ends (5), the layers being joined to one another at the ends (3, 4, 5); - constraining means (6) associated with the layers of breathable material (2), that can be connected to the user's head. The fabric has one or more superimposed areas (9a, 9b, 9c), each of the superimposed areas (9a, 9b, 9c): - developing according to a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis (X) of the mask; - being spaced apart from the other superimposed areas according to the transverse symmetry axis (Y), which is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis (X); - being defined by the superposing of three adjacent portions of the fabric by means of folding the latter along two folding lines substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis (X). The fabric has one or more sealing areas (7; 70) defined close to one or more of the ends (3, 4, 5) and intersecting the superimposed areas so as to constrain the superimposed portions of fabric of the superimposed areas. Each of the sealing areas (7; 70) is configured so as to promote the folding of the areas (A) adjacent to the sealing area (7; 70).
