[origin: WO2016139152A1] The invention relates to a device for limiting the rotational speed of a rotor (1), comprising a braking means (2), at least one restoring means (5) and at least one fastening means for fastening to the rotor (1), wherein, in the state fastened to the rotor, the braking means (2) can be pivoted about a pivot axis (4) from a first position into a second position and vice versa, wherein, in the case of a rotation of the rotor (1), the braking means (2) has a higher flow resistance in the second position than in the first position, and wherein the restoring means (5) is designed to exert a restoring force on the braking means (2) in the direction of the first position.
