[origin: WO2016142345A1] The invention relates to a method wherein a contact (100) is crimped to the cable (200), at different heights, in such a way as to obtain a mechanical retention portion (140) and an electrical conduction portion (150). The difference between the final crimping heights of the mechanical retention portion (140) and the electrical conduction portion (150) is between 0.5 and 0.6 mm. The invention also relates to a contact (100) crimped to a cable (200) as a result of the crimping method according to the invention, and to a tool for implementing said method.
