The operator control system has at least two states, wherein each state has an associated specific detail of the graphical user interface. When one of the at least two states of the operator control system is activated, the detail of the graphical user interface associated with the activated state is displayed, and a state information element is actuated so the activated state of the operator control system is output. The state information element includes an outline of a geometric figure and the activated state is a basis for highlighting a segment of the outline.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Bediensystems, bei dem Grafikdaten einer grafischen Bedienoberfläche (14) erzeugt werden, wobei die grafische Bedienoberfläche (14) eine Bedienoberflächenerstreckung entlang einer ersten Richtung (x) aufweist und mittels einer Anzeigeeinheit (3) ein Ausschnitt (14a, 14b, 14c) der grafischen Bedienoberfläche (14) angezeigt wird, wobei der Ausschnitt (14a, 14b, 14c) eine Ausschnittserstreckung (21 a, 21 b, 21c) entlang der ersten Richtung (x) aufweist. Dabei weist das Bediensystem zumindest zwei Zustände auf, wobei jedem Zustand ein bestimmter Ausschnitt (14a, 14b, 14c) der grafischen Bedienoberfläche (14) zugeordnet ist. Dabei wird, wenn einer der zumindest zwei Zustände des Bediensystems aktiviert ist, der dem aktivierten Zustand zugeordnete Ausschnitt (14a, 14b, 14c) der grafischen Bedienoberfläche (14) angezeigt und ein Zustandsinformationselement (16) wird so angesteuert, dass der aktivierte Zustand des Bediensystems ausgegeben wird. Dabei umfasst das Zustandsinformationselement (16) einen Umriss einer geometrischen Figur und in Abhängigkeit von dem aktivierten Zustand wird ein Segment (16a) des Umrisses hervorgehoben. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Bediensystem und ein Fahrzeug (1) mit einem erfindungsgemäßen Bediensystem.
