[origin: WO2016155964A1] Disclosed is a method for recognizing movements of objects in a vehicle parking area by processing images taken by at least one camera. In order to recognize movements of an object, at least two images taken by the camera are compared, and differences between the images are evaluated. If the evaluation indicates that a movement of an object has come to an end, the position of the object is stored in a memory.
