The method of providing the content of an electronic device includes receiving schedule information, a plurality of VOD content allocated to a plurality of channels from an external server, receiving first VOD content from a content providing server based on address information about first VOD content included in the schedule information when a user command for selecting a channel corresponding to the first VOD content among the plurality of VOD contents is inputted, and outputting the received first VOD content. So, a user can access the VOD content more easily.
