Abstract (en)

[origin: EP3276016A1] To provide an ±-² titanium alloy that has high strength and excellent hot workability of the level of the ±-² titanium alloy, typified by the Ti-6Al-4V, while exhibiting more excellent machinability than the Ti-6Al-4V. The ±-² titanium alloy includes, in percent by mass: at least one element of 0.1 to 2.0% of Cu and 0.1 to 2.0% of Ni; 2.0 to 8.5% of Al; 0.08 to 0.25% of C; and 1.0 to 7.0% in total of at least one element of 0 to 4.5% of Cr and 0 to 2.5% of Fe, with the balance being Ti and inevitable impurities.
