[origin: WO2016156677A1] The invention relates to a fiber application head for manufacturing composite material parts and to a corresponding manufacturing method. Said head includes: - an application roller (3) for applying a strip formed of one or more fibers (81, 82) onto an application surface (91); - a main guide system (12) for guiding at least one fiber towards said application roller; - a heating system (2) capable of emitting heat radiation towards the strip just before application by the application roller; - a cooling system (4) capable of cooling the application roller from the outside, such as a gas flow; and - a drive system (5) capable of rotating the application roller when the roller is not in contact with the application surface.
