Abstract (en)

[origin: EP3282050A1] A laundry appliance (12) includes a rotating drum (18) and a door providing access to the rotating drum (18). A blower directs process air through an air path (20) that includes the drum. A heat exchanger (56) within the air path (20) dehumidifies the process air. A first lint filter (80) within the air path (20) is forward of the drum and below the door. A second lint filter (82) within the air path (20) is downstream of the first lint filter (80) and forward of the heat exchanger (56). The first and second lint filters (80, 82) capture lint (32) from the process air upstream of the heat exchanger (56). The first lint filter (80) is angled with respect to the second lint filter (82). A filter spray system (34) has a plurality of fluid sprayers (36) that deliver fluid (38) to the first and second lint filters (80, 82), respectively. Each fluid sprayer (36) directs captured lint (270) from the first and second lint filters (80, 82) to a common drain channel (28).
