Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2016166351A1] Load distribution structure, in particular for use as a saddle tree in a riding saddle, based on extremely preformed and resilient bending supports. When, for example, a riding animal moves, the shape of the back area on which the saddle rests changes. The novel load distribution structure makes it possible to adapt to all deformations of the back during movement, without any substantial change to a pressure distribution that has already been set. Moreover, such a saddle tree is suitable for adaptation to different back shapes of riding animals. The load distribution structure or the saddle tree is constructed using bending supports which, in their unloaded state, are bent (25) extremely strongly, e.g. close to 150 degrees. The bending supports are then in practice pressed flat according to the shape of the supporting area when placed under load and, on account of their special properties, distribute the weight uniformly, even in the event of changes in the shape of the supporting area. A saddle tree based on this load distribution structure is able to distribute the weight of the rider in an almost optimal manner, even during movement of the horse.
