[origin: WO2016170034A1] An apparatus (1) for emptying containers (10) and in particular plastic containers (10) having a first holding device (2), which is suitable and intended for holding a first portion (10a) of the container (10), having a second holding device (4), which is suitable and intended for holding a second portion (10b) of the container, wherein the first holding device (2) and the second holding device (4) are movable with respect to one another in order to compress the container (10) situated between said holding devices, and having a removal device (6) in order to remove liquid from the container via a mouth thereof. According to the invention, the apparatus (1) has a perforating device (50) which perforates at least one wall region of the container (10).
