[origin: WO2016169564A1] The invention relates to a method for producing cylindrical rolling bodies (4) with crowned end surfaces (7) for anti-friction bearings, in particular bearing needles for high-speed axial needle bearings, having the following steps: a) providing of a spherical blank (5) with a diameter (D) which corresponds to the rolling body length (L) of the rolling body (4); b) grinding of the spherical blank (5) into a cylindrical shape of the rolling bodies (4) to their predefined diameter (d), wherein centreless cylindrical plunge grinding or centreless cylindrical throughfeed grinding is used. Moreover, the invention relates to rolling bodies which are produced according to said method, to anti-friction bearings having rolling bodies of this type, and to the use thereof.
