[origin: WO2016173685A1] The invention relates to a system and a method for consolidating and structuring fibres, having a first and a second circulating belt which are arranged at least partially in a parallel manner for consolidating and structuring fibres (2) into a nonwoven and thus form a structuring region (21), wherein at least one belt is configured as a counter-belt (5) having a multiplicity of patterning openings (5a) and at least one water bar (7) for water-jet consolidation of the fibres is arranged within the counter-belt (5) in the structuring region (21). The invention is characterized in that the structuring region (21) has a length of at least 0.2 m and the counter-belt (5) has micro-openings (5b) between the patterning openings (5a).
