[origin: WO2016178240A1] The present invention discloses a freeze dried pharmaceutical formulation of Rifabutin along with a suitable solubilizing agent and Bulking agent for parenteral administration which provides sufficient solubilization and stabilization of Rifabutin thus improving the shelf life and reduces the likelihood of precipitation during storage. The invention further discloses a process of preparation of said pharmaceutical formulation.
