[origin: WO2016177957A1] The invention relates to a splash-protection device (1) for a wheel-mounted vehicle (20) comprising at least one wheel (21) in contact with the ground, said device (1) comprising a splash-protection shield (2) suitable for being arranged at least partially behind said wheel (21), and means (3) for connecting the shield (1) to said vehicle (20), the splash-protection shield (2) having a surface capable of facing the wheel (21) to be protected and an opposite surface referred to as the back of the shield (2), the means (3) for connecting the shield (2) to the vehicle (20) being configured to enable the shield (2), when said shield (2) is connected to the vehicle (20), to be moved between a top position, off the ground, and a bottom position, near the ground. The device (1) comprises resilient means for returning the shield (2) to the top position and a surface supported by the shield (2) and capable of being exposed to the flow of air generated as the wheel-mounted vehicle (20) moves forward, this surface being configured to enable the shield (2), under the action of said flow of air, to move in a direction opposite the return force.
