Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to an electrode (26, 28) for a battery cell (10), comprising a current collector (22, 24), which is electrically connected to an active material layer (18, 20), wherein the active material layer (18, 20) comprises an active material (30) and a binder, wherein the active material layer (18, 20) further comprises an electrically insulating security filler (34), the security filler (34) having a melting point which is higher compared to the working temperature of the electrode (26, 28) but which is lower compared to the onset-temperature of the battery cell (10) and which is lower compared to the melting point of the active material (30) and the binder.
