Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2016184701A1] The invention relates to thin printing paper that contains pulp fibers and at least one acid-soluble filler, the content of acid-soluble filler being at least 10 wt% relative to the entire mass of the thin printing paper, the thin printing paper having portions with lower transparency and portions with higher transparency, the mass fraction of the specified acid-soluble filler relative to the surface being at least 10% lower in the portions of higher transparency than in the regions of lower transparency, and, for the transparency in the portions of higher transparency, at least one of the following criteria being satisfied: - the transparency measured according to DIN 53147: 1993-01 is at least 20% higher in the portions of higher transparency than the transparency measured according to DIN 53147:1993-01 in the portions of lower transparency, or - the transparency is that much higher in the portions of higher transparency than in the portions of lower transparency that, on a single piece of paper in the transmitted light in artificial lighting with an illuminance of 100 lux to 1000 lux or in daylight not significantly artificially attenuated, a pattern visible to the naked eye and made up of brighter and darker sections can be obtained, the brighter sections corresponding to the portions of higher transparency and the darker sections corresponding to the portions of lower transparency.
