[origin: WO2016187633A1] The invention relates to a method for the controlled swivel-bending of workpieces (3) using a swivel-bending assembly (1) comprising at least one bending tool (7) that acts on a contact surface (9) of a bendable arm (8) of the workpiece (3). The at least one bending tool (7) is arranged in an adjustable tool holder having at least two degrees of freedom. A swivel-bending process is carried out in such a way that relative movements between the bendable arm (8) and the at least one bending tool (7) are sensed in a preceding movement sector by a sensor device (11), and the path coordinates and/or movement data regarding the path are generated for a successive movement sector using the ascertained relative movement data so that sliding movements along a contact surface (9) of the bendable arm (8) are minimized as much as possible.
