[origin: WO2016189298A1] Disclosed is a tobacco industry product container (1), comprising: a base portion (600) having an outer contact portion (615a) and defining a cavity (670) and an opening (680) at a first end (601) of the base portion via which the cavity is accessible from an exterior of the base portion; and a lid (400) having an inner contact portion (415a) and attached to the base portion by a hinge for rotation relative to the base portion about an axis between closed and open positions. The base portion has a second end (602) opposite from the first end. The axis is closer to the second end than is the outer contact portion. When the lid is at the closed position, the outer contact portion contacts and presses the inner contact portion with a force having at least a component in a direction perpendicular to the axis so as to resist rotation of the lid towards the open position.
