[origin: WO2016189058A1] A portable device (1) comprises first (3) and second (4) connectors capable of guiding an electromagnetic wave, a sample carrier (5) installed between the first premier (3) and second (4) connectors and comprising a cavity (10) housing a sample (2), an electronic module (6) comprising an electromagnetic wave generator (32), and processing means (33) capable of analysing the electromagnetic wave exiting the second connector (4) in order to deliver a first dielectric permittivity measurement and/or a second magnetic permeability measurement, a computer device (7) comprising control means (36) capable of controlling the operation of the electronic module (6) and of recovering each first or second measurement, and a portable container (8) housing the first (3) and second (4) connectors, the sample carrier (5), the electronic module (6) and the computer device (7).
