Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017025399A1] The invention relates to a device having an overhead line (3) in the region of a stop and at least one rail vehicle (1) having a current collector (2) for making contact with the overhead line, wherein the overhead line has a central part (4) with a limited, predefined length and adjoining it on at least one side a first end section (5) , wherein the central part (4) has an essentially constant predefined height above the rail (9), the first end section (5) has a height above the rail (9) which increases from the central part (4), characterized in that the current collector (2) of the rail vehicle is raised and therefore adjusted to the overhead line (3) in such a way that wearing strips of the current collector (2) have, at the entry of the rail vehicle (1) into the stop, a height above the rail (9) which is at least equal to the essentially constant height of the central part (4) of the overhead line and at maximum equal to the maximum height of the raised first end section (5) of the overhead line above the rail (9). The invention also relates to a method for operating the device, wherein the rail vehicle enters the stop and exits it again with the current collector raised.
