La présente invention concerne un appareil de coupure électrique différentiel logé dans un boîtier isolant comportant au moins un circuit électrique ayant un contact fixe et un contact mobile, un premier mécanisme de commande de la fermeture et de l'ouverture des contacts, à commande manuelle par une manette et à commande automatique, des moyens de détection d'un défaut différentiel, des moyens de déclenchement d'un mécanisme de commande dit second (3), des moyens de transmission (22) de l'ordre de déclenchement au mécanisme de commande dit premier, et des moyens de test électrique de la fonction différentielle. Cet appareil est caractérisé en ce que ces moyens de transmission comportent un renvoi (22) relié mécaniquement aux deux mécanismes précités (3) de manière à pouvoir transmettre l'ordre de déclenchement envoyé par les moyens de déclenchement différentiel au second mécanisme (3), du second mécanisme (3) au premier mécanisme, et en ce que cet appareil comporte des moyens d'immobilisation de ce renvoi (22), activés lors de la réalisation du test précité, de manière à empêcher la transmission de l'ordre de déclenchement au premier mécanisme pendant au moins une partie de la durée du test.
