[origin: WO2016203362A1] This invention relates to a cigarette 100 comprising a filter 102, a cigarette piece 103 and a connecting sleeve 104 joining the filter 104 to the cigarette piece 103. The filter (102) is a telescopic coaxial filter comprising an inner portion (105) and an outer portion (106) wrapped around the inner portion (105). The outer portion (106) comprises a first section (106a) which is integral with the cigarette piece (103) and a second section (106b) which is slidable between a drawn-in position and an extended position. Means for stopping the second section (106b) to define the fully extended position are located between the inner portion (105) and the outer portion (106) and comprise two abutment elements (107, 108), respectively fixed to or associated with the inner portion (105) and the outer portion (106). The axial distance ("L") between the two abutment elements defines the stroke ("C") of the second section (106b) between the drawn-in position and the extended position.
