Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017001205A1] The invention relates to a hand tool (1) with two tool halves (2, 3) which are arranged so as to cross each other in a joint region and which are connected together in a pivotal manner, in particular in the form of pliers, shears, or the like. One tool half (2, 3) forms a jaw (7, 8) on one side of the joint and a grip on the other side of the joint. A leg or torsion spring which acts on a plane spanned by the grip-side limb (5, 6) of the tool halves (2, 3) and which supports the opening movement is arranged between the limbs (5, 6) of the tool halves (2, 3) on the grip-side of the tool halves (2, 3), and the tool halves (2, 3) can extend relative to each other so as to overlap in the region of the joint in an overlap region (U).The aim of the the invention is to further improve a hand tool (1), in particular pliers, shears, or the like, which has an advantageous design in terms of production. This is achieved in that the rotational axis of the joint lies outside of the contours of the restoring spring (11), and the spring ends (19) are formed such that the spring ends can be fixed or rest on the corresponding counter recesses (16) in the operative position by means of a force-fitting connection or a supporting form-fitting connection and/or the restoring spring (11) extends partly in the overlap region (U) between an upper tool half (2, 3) and a lower tool half (2, 3).
