Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017001480A1] The present invention relates to a step chain (1) for driving the steps of an escalator, said chain comprising link plates (2), link pins (3), link bushes (5) and buffer rollers (6), which are interconnected to form chain links (7) that can move relative to one another, and comprising running rollers (8) arranged outside the chain links (7). Each buffer roller (6) is designed as a multi-component part having at least one inner dimensionally stable sliding component (9), by means of which each buffer roller (6) is rotatably arranged on the link bush (5), and an outer damping component (10), the damping component (10) having a more elastically flexible design than the sliding component (9). The invention also relates to a person conveyor device, in particular an escalator or moving walkway, comprising a step chain according to the invention.
