[origin: WO2017032604A1] The invention relates to a gearing for a fitting assembly of a window, a door, or the like comprising a housing and a socket element, which is movably supported in a socket mount of the housing and which is coupled to a fitting element, in particular a drive rod, of the fitting assembly in such a way that driving is enabled. The socket element can be moved between a release position, in which the socket element can be rotated about an axis of rotation fixed to the housing, and a blocking position, in which the socket element is blocked against rotation about the axis of rotation in at least one direction of rotation, radially to the axis of rotation. The socket element is designed to be moved into the blocking position if the socket element is in the release position and is driven to move in said direction of rotation by the fitting element.
