[origin: WO2016207068A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a friction material (1), in particular for a friction disc, comprising the following steps: - providing a matrix comprising at least one polymer capable of releasing formaldehyde during cross-linking, - adding a formaldehyde capture agent in the matrix, - cross-linking the matrix; a method in which, during the cross-linking, the capture agent reacts with at least a portion of the formaldehyde released during the cross-linking.
