[origin: WO2016206976A1] The invention relates to a method for the authentication of a document (102), in particular of a value document, identification document, or security document (102), wherein at least one item of information (104) specific to the person and/or to the document is applied to the document (102) and can be detected by an optical sensor (136), and wherein the hash value (134) of the information item (104) generated by a hash algorithm is stored on a server computer system (110), said server computer system (110) having an interface (114) for making a connection to a communications network (116). The invention further relates to an electronic system for authentication of a document by this method, and to a method for production and/or personalisation of a value document, identification document, or security document.
