[origin: WO2016206970A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a vehicle in order to be able to produce a digital map of a car park, – wherein the vehicle driving within the car park ascertains data about its path of travel within the car park and – sends the ascertained data to a map server via a communication network, so that the map server can produce a digital map of the car park on the basis of the data. The invention also relates to a corresponding apparatus. The invention furthermore relates to a method for producing a digital map of a car park and to a map server and a computer program.
